Executive Summary Dashboard: Contextual Vulnerability Prioritization Panel

This article provides an overview of the information displayed in the Contextual Vulnerability Prioritization panel.

Contextual Vulnerability Prioritization Panel

Contextual Vulnerability Prioritization Panel

The Contextual Vulnerability Prioritization panel shows how Contextual Prioritization re-ranks vulnerability severity globally in the organization, from the original CVSS distribution to the final Contextual Prioritization Score (CPS) distribution.

For more information on the Contextual Prioritization Score, see Understanding More Complex Prioritization Factors.

CVSS Distribution

The original CVSS distribution is shown on the left part of the graph, with CVSS scores ranging from 0 to 10.

The horizontal bar graph shows how many vulnerabilities (under remediation-centric groups just like in the Vulnerabilities view) were present in every CVSS score section, from 0 to 10, before the prioritization.

The number displayed at the right of each horizontal bar is the exact count of how many vulnerabilities had these CVSS scores before the prioritization.

CPS Distribution

The final CPS distribution is shown on the right part of the graph, with CPS scores ranging from 0 to 10.

The horizontal bar graph shows how many vulnerabilities (under remediation-centric groups just like in the Vulnerabilities view) are now present in every CPS score section, from 0 to 10, after the prioritization.

The number displayed at the left of each horizontal bar is the exact count of how many vulnerabilities now have this CPS after the prioritization.

Increase/Decrease Arrows

The arrows at the center of the graph are visual indicators of an increase or a decrease of vulnerability count in each specific score section, from the original CVSS score, to the final CPS.

For instance, the first arrow in the 10 row will point down and be green if the number of vulnerabilities that were scored CVSS 10 before the prioritization has decreased after the prioritization to less vulnerabilities that have a CPS of 10.
